We ask you this question on the home page of our website for a reason.
In the past few years, Microsoft (like all of the major software vendors) has come to realize that the traditional way of distributing and supporting software is obsolete. This 30-year old approach was based upon the software vendors' reliance on local dealers to bring a stack of diskettes to a client's environment, install the software, and train the client in its use. The local dealers then provided on-going assistance, as needed. While this basic model did evolve somewhat over the years, it was completely eclipsed by Microsoft's release of Office 365 in 2011.
Most of you are probably still using on-premise based software, or are looking to upgrade from something like QuickBooks. Each of you have your own reasons and priorities, but these generally include lowering your total cost of ownership, enhancing your company's capabilities, simplifying your infrastructure, etc.
We aren't going to try to explain all the reasons to consider moving to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Edition in general, or Dynamics 365 for Financials in particular. You've already decided upon your reasons, or you wouldn't be researching this solution to begin with. Instead, we've provided a series of links to Microsoft's instructional materials in order to perhaps give you a better idea as to how this new cloud-based approach will benefit you.
From reviewing the "Services" portion of our "Pricing" page, you must have noticed that we're offering many of our services at discounted rates to companies that subscribe to Dynamics 365 through us. We're serious about obtaining your subscription business!
We'd also like to briefly explain the services we can offer to you. The following list is by no means complete. At this point, most of it pertains primarily to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials since some of the other portions of the Business Edition have yet to be released. If you need something that you don't see on this list, please contact us:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Edition setup and on-going support:
We use Dynamics 365 for Financials as our ERP solution within our own company. We converted during November, 2016 and ran parallel for the month of December. We went live on January 1, 2017. As a result of converting to this ERP solution and using it on a daily basis, we've come to know the solution quite well. We can put this knowledge and expertise to use for you. We will continue to implement and make use of the additional Dynamics 365 Business Edition functionality as Microsoft makes it available. In this way, we can continue to provide services based not only on our training, but also on our personal experience with the solution.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Edition customizations:
Dynamics 365 for Financials can be tailored to fit the requirements of companies in many different industries. We can create account schedules and reports to fit your needs. We can also customize the standard D365 Word and SSRS reports that are a part of the solution-- and make these a part of your solution.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Edition programming extensions:
Microsoft basically allows for two different types of programming extensions. Relatively fundamental extensions can be created using "PowerApps", while more complex extensions require the use of Microsoft Visual Studio or VS Code/AL. We are adept at using these tools, and look forward to implementing your ideas within the solution.
Microsoft has created a Power BI "content pack" for Dynamics 365 for Financials. We can help you implement this. If you'd like additional Power BI functionality, we can create this for you as well.
Microsoft Office 365:
Needless to say, we use Office 365 within our own business to meet our personal productivity needs. Every month or so, Microsoft adds new functions and features to this suite. As these become available, we make a point of learning their use. We then implement these in our business to the extent we see fit. We can help you implement "Bookings", "Flow", IoT ("internet of things"), etc. Essentially, any of the facets of Office 365 that you would find useful but don't have the time to implement, yourself. We can also administer your Office 365 implementation for you, if you don't have sufficient personnel resources on-staff for this task.
Ceridian offers a payroll interface for Dynamics 365 for Financials. We've implemented it in our own business, and look forward to helping you implement it in yours.
Avalara has indicated they will be providing an extension to provide cloud-based sales tax functionality within Dynamics 365 for Financials. We are currently one of Avalara's eight "Preferred Developers" (worldwide). We intend to continue this relationship, and leverage it to meet your needs within Dynamics 365 for Financials.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Edition was released to the public on November 1, 2016. We've been around a lot longer than that!
We continue to support our legacy on-premise products and customers. This includes support for Microsoft Dynamics ERPs, QuickBooks, etc. We'll continue to be here for you, as long as you continue to use these solutions.
